Ingredients

  • 4 cups granny smith apples, peeled, cored and sliced

  • 1/2 cup softened butter

  • 1/2 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup flour

Directions

  • Place sliced apples into a 9 inch round pie plate. (Apples should be cut into 4 pieces, then sliced to about 1/4 inch thick pieces.)
  • For topping, combine butter, sugar and flour in a mixing bowl. ( I used a pastry blender.)
  • Mix until crumbly (pea size) and sprinkle over apples.
  • Bake at 375° for 30 minutes or until golden brown.
